Women’s Basketball takes on Auburn in 2nd Place Battle

The UK Women’s Hoops team welcomes conference foe Auburn on Thursday at 7 p.m at Memorial Coliseum. The Tigers (13-8, 6-2 SEC), are in a three way tie for second place with the Cats (17-4, 6-2 SEC) , and Georgia Bulldogs (16-5, 6-2 SEC). The Cats are coming off a difficult road victory Monday night against Alabama. All three teams trail conference powerhouse Tennessee (21-2, 9-0), and are looking for separation from one another. The Lady Vols come to Lexington next Monday night (Feb. 7), in what looks to be the top two teams in the Southeastern Conference. With a win against Auburn, the UK Hoops team will be in striking distance of Pat Summits 5th ranked Tennessee squad.
