Davis, Kidd-Gilchrist named NABC All-Americans

Freshmen Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist were recently named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ All-American teams. Davis received first team honors and Kidd-Gilchrist was voted to the third team.

Joining Davis on the first team are Thomas Robinson (forward, Kansas), Draymond Green (forward, Mich. St.), Doug McDermott (forward, Creighton), and Jared Sullinger (center, Ohio St.).

Davis is widely considered to be the first overall pick in the upcoming 2012 NBA Draft, assuming he decides to leave school and become eligible. He is also a front-runner for the coveted Naismith Player of the Year award.
