July 1, 2012 marks the date that University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto plans to have a new Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration (EVPFA) to replace the recently retired Frank Butler. A search committee led by College of Agriculture Dean Scott Smith has begun looking for someone to fill the position.
The responsibilities of the EVPFA range from budget, to public safety, to institutional equity. The committee is looking for someone with 10 years of experience in executive management, experience managing investments, and prior work with information technology and corporate compliance.
The EVPFA oversees the treasurer’s office, facilities management, and internal audit, among other things.
