December Commencement Information

For some lucky Wildcats, this will be their last week as students at the University of Kentucky! Before everyone tosses their black caps in the air, there are a few things you need to know about the upcoming commencement services this Friday.

Undergraduate Commencement will be held Friday December 14, 2012 at Memorial Coliseum at 6 p.m., while commencement for Graduate and Professional Studies will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Graduate and Professional students must arrive at Memorial Coliseum by 12:45 p.m.

For Undergraduate Commencement, check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Craft Center Lobbies. If you are graduating from the colleges of Agriculture or Arts & Sciences, you need to enter the East Lobby on the Rose Street Side. For all other colleges, the university asks you to please enter on the Lexington Ave side.

When you arrive you will check in at a table for you college. Make sure your name is correct on the cards they give you, otherwise someone else might receive their degree that you worked hard for!
Be sure to wear appropriate cap and gown as well.

As for parking, Parking Structure #5 will be available for free parking until 10:00 p.m. A free shuttle service will take guests to Memorial Coliseum.

Also, all parking lots around Memorial Coliseum will be open, regardless of tags, starting at noon on Friday. The lots in blue on the map below will all be open for commencement.
