On Wednesday night students will gather in front of the William T. Young library and strip down into their skivvies for the semi-annual Undie Run.
Students participating should be in front of the Young library by 11:30 p.m. to begin taking pictures and meeting up with friends participating. At 11:45 p.m. students will strip down and leave their clothes to start a “warm-up” lap around the library. At midnight the actual run begins.
“(We will) run from Willy T, through Sorority Row, across Rose St., pass Whitehall, then stop at the Patterson Statute outside POT,” says the information in the Facebook group.
The theme is “12” this year, being on 12-12-12 and beginning at 12 a.m.
Participants are instructed to not begin the race until they are told to because of previous early starts.
The clothes that students strip out of will be donated to local area places, but the organizer is open to what places they will go to.
In the post in the Facebook group it says, “Normally the clothes are donated to local churches but this year (with the exception of Goodwill) I am open to all suggestions as to where to donate clothing received.”
At 1:20 p.m. there are 66 people who are attending and another 72 as maybes in the Facebook group. For more information and to join the Facebook group click here
