Boston marathon bombing suspect. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was taken into custody by Boston police just moments ago. His condition is not known. Medical personnel were sent to the scene. Mayor Thomas Menino just tweeted, “We got him.”
The police used a robot to test to see if the suspect was mobile before moving into capture him. He was pulled from a boat in a Watertown backyard where he was hiding, covered by a tarp. He had been there long enough to bleed onto the boat from wounds likely received in the gun battle in which his brother was killed on Thursday night. The homeowner noticed the blood and notified police after residents were allowed to return to outdoor activity when the city lockdown was lifted. His quick action saved the city from another night of terror as police had pulled back, telling residents in a press conference that the suspect’s trail had been lost.
