Kobe Bryant returned to Lakers practice last week and returned to 5 on 5 drills yesterday. Bryant is returning from an Achilles tear that occurred against the Golden State Warriors last season in April. The time table for his return was set at 9-12 months, meaning Bryant shouldn’t be returning until sometime in January. But he says if it was playoffs right now he would play and he would be able to contribute. Bryant is a month and half to two months ahead of schedule and he’s 35. This impressive but we’ve grown to expect this from Bryant who played with a broken finer for an entire season a couple of years ago. Bryant could be back as early next week, a more accurate guess is the he will return early December. The Lakers are 5-7 so far this season without their star guard Bryant, who says he is impressed with some of the young guys so far, especially Jordan Hill. Hill posted 24 points and 17 boards the Lakers last win against the Detroit Pistons.
