DISH to Provide SEC Network

Popular satellite television provider DISH  announced on Tuesday morning that it will be the second major carrier of the new Southeastern Conference Network, when it launches later this year. DISH is the only nationwide carrier of the SEC Network so far, with deals with DIRECTV and Time Warner Cable still in the negotiating phase. The new network which will launch on Aug. 14, 2014, will carry more than 45 SEC regular season football games, 100-plus basketball games, and more than 200 olympic sporting events including soccer, baseball, softball, ect.
