Hunter S. Thompson, maverick and gonzo journalist, inducted into the Kentucky Hall of Fame

Louisville native Hunter S. Thompson wase inducted in the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame Tuesday, alongside six other Kentucky journalists. Thompson was a journalist and author famous for pioneering gonzo journalism, a type of literary journalism where the author plays a role in the story. Some would say though he was more famous for the depravity these stories were catalyzed by. Regardless of negative public opinions and criticism of his work, Thompson is finally being added to the ranks of acclaimed Kentucky Journalists nine years after his death.
