Landscaping Project To Bring Nearly 430 Trees To UK Campus

“Planting for the Next 150 Years,” goes into action this week. The tree planting initiative calls for nearly 430 trees to be planted on UK’s campus over the next year.

About half of the new trees are to be planted near Alumni Drive as part of a federal flood management project, and the rest will be in major areas around campus, including the lawn in front of UK’s Main Building, the walkway from Rose Street to the William T. Young Library and both sides of Avenue of Champions.
