Covington stands alone in Kenton County election results

Kenton County voters leaned strongly toward Mitch McConnell in the 2014 General Election–all except for Covington.

Of the 46,532 ballots cast in Kenton County for the U.S. Senate race, a mere 16,660 votes favored Alison Lundergan Grimes.

The northeast region of Kenton, especially Covington, showed blue on the map. Two small precincts in the northwestern region of Kenton favored Grimes as well.

Aside from these small patches of blue on the Kenton County map, the remaining precincts chose McConnell.

McConnell swept the race in Kenton County with 28,297 votes–nearly twice as many votes as Grimes.
