The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team has enjoyed one of its best seasons in program history.
The Cats have posted the third-highest win percentage in school history (.706) and have not lost in nine straight games (6-0-3), according to UK Athletics.
On Friday at 7 p.m., UK will play No. 5 Charlotte for the Conference USA regular-season championship. UK needs only a draw to claim the title. Charlotte must win to take home the regular-season crown.
“We’ve put ourselves in a place where we have everything to play for still,” UK head coach Johan Cedergren told UK Athletics. “We need to finish strong. The Kentucky men’s soccer program hasn’t won a title since 2004, so it’s about time for us to do it again.”
It will be senior night for the Cats, who will be playing in their last home game of the season.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
