Christie Vilsack, senior advisor for International Education at the U.S. Agency for International Development, will be coming to the University of Kentucky as the keynote speaker during International Education Week.
Vilsack’s presentation, “Let Girls Learn: Education in Developing Countries,” will be on Thursday, November 20 at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall. She will detail USAID’s education strategy, which focuses on strengthening children’s learning skills and providing fair opportunities for education in conflict-ridden areas.
The event is free and open to the public.
