On Sunday night,  MTV held the Europe Music Awards. Nicki Minaj was the host of the award show, and major bands such as One Direction and U2 performed. The event was at the  Hydro Arena in Glasgow.  One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer were the two big winners of the night, both bands leaving with 3 EMA’s under their belts.

Best Alternative: Thirty Seconds To Mars

Best World Stage: Enrique Iglesias

Worldwide Act: Bibi Zhou

Best Song with a Message: Beyonce “Pretty Hurts”

Global Icon: Ozzy Osbourne

The first EMA show as held back in 1994, making it the 20th anniversary this year. Each year, it is hosted in a different country.
