‘Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la…..FINALS. The worst time of the semester for college students is upon us. We were given a quick preview of freedom, but now that Thanksgiving break is over finals are attacking. Thankfully there are many stress relief techniques to keep students sane. According to the Mayo Clinic, when stressed out try the 4 A’s: avoid, alter, accept and adapt. By recognizing the situation, you can change your perspective and relax. Other tips include exercise, getting plenty of sleep, drinking water and eating healthy food, and surround yourself with positivity.
UK is helping students out this semester by bringing in puppies. The Student Health Advisory Council is hosting the Paws for Stress Relief event on Tuesday, December 9th at 5 p.m. Students are encouraged to come join the fun and play with puppies from the Humane Society and receive handouts and snacks to promote healthy living.
A great study break on campus! Paws for Stress is going to be at the Complex Commons and it’s free for students.
