Kentucky football: Two players named first team All-SEC for the first time since 2010

University of Kentucky senior defensive lineman Bud Dupree and freshman kicker Austin MacGinnis were named to the first team All-SEC by the Associated Press on Monday.

Dupree earned the honor after leading defensive linemen in the SEC with 74 tackles. He recorded a team-high 12.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. Dupree was second-team All-SEC last season as a junior.

MacGinnis is the first UK kicker since Doug Pelfrey in 1991 to earn first team All-SEC honors. He broke multiple records for UK this season: 41-straight made extra points, a 54-yard field goal and 25 touchbacks.

This is the first time since 2010 when Randall Cobb and Danny Trevathan earned All-SEC first-team honors that two UK football players made the first team All-SEC, according to UK Athletics.
