Yesterday the University of Kentucky Athletic Department announced that registration for two of coach John Calipari’s basketball camps were now open. The Father/Son camps and Overnight camps are taking registrations on a first-com, first-serve basis.
Due to the recent popularity of the two camps there will be multiple sessions for both camps. The Father/Son camp will have three separate sessions while the Overnight Camp will have only two.
Sessions for the Father/Son Camp are June 5-6, June 12-13, and June 19-20. The Overnight camp will host its sessions on June 14-17, and June28-July 1. Both of the camps have grown in popularity over the past three summers-selling out each of the last three summers. All camps are held on the University of Kentucky’s campus.
Both camps will include instruction from the Kentucky coaching staff and current and former players. All skills drills and competitions will be held in the Joe Craft Center and Memorial Coliseum.
The cost of the Father/Son Camp is $165 an individual, or $185 to stay overnight. Each individual will receive three meals, a t-shirt, three sessions of skill work and competition, and a photo and autograph opportunity with Head Coach John Calipari, as well as UK staff and players.
The Overnight Camp sessions include skills training, team games, individual competitions, and a division tournament. UK staff and current and former players will also be working the skills training throughout the four day sessions. The price of the Overnight Camp is $450 for campers staying overnight and $350 for those who still want the experience, but do not wish to stay overnight.
More information on both camps and how to register can be found on the UK Athletics website.
